I have been treating Chronic heel pain due to plantar fasciitis (an inflammation of the arch ligament) and heel spurs for over 35 years. Fortunately for my patients, with a high percentage of success.
However, due to what I feel is the instability of the world's economic problems, more and more of my patients cannot afford the high insurance deductibles and co-pays as well as the time out of work for healing if they choose to undergo a surgical treatment.
Fortunately, Northwest Podiatry Centers have developed conservative treatments for chronic heel pain that offer the patient relative confort a great majority of the time without the need for surgical treatment.
Typically, chronic heel pain is exhibited by severe pain in the heel and arch after periods of rest. We get home from work after being on our feet for a long time, or get up in the morning after a night's rest, and we can hardly put any weight on our foot because of the severe pain. After we hobble around for a few minutes, the pain somewhat subsides, only to return again after rest.
My colleagues and I at Northwest Podiatry Center use specifically designed exercises, in conjuntion with custom made Podiatric Orthotics (do not be confused with over-the-counter "arch supports" sold at pharmacies, on-line, or television ads), short term medication and physical therapy for conservative treatment of chronic heel and arch pain.
There is no reason for you to suffer from chronic heel pain. I and my Colleagues at Northwest Podiatry Centers are available any time for a free consultation regarding conservative treatments; not only for heel pain, but for many other foot and ankle related disorders.
