Gregory C. Bryniczka, D.P.M.

Graduated from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine in 1974, and he completed his surgical residency at both Northlake Community Hospital and Hines Veteran Hospital. Board certified in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Bryniczka is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. A past president of United Podiatry Services of America, he also serves as a consultant to Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company.

Dr. Bryniczka is especially interested in sports medicine and is an Associate of the American College of Podiatric Sports Medicine. Dr. Bryniczka began private practice in 1976.

Gary F. Ochwat, D.P.M.

Studied at Loyola University before obtaining his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. He completed a two-year podiatric surgical residency at St. Anne's Hospital in Northlake, Illinois, before entering private practice in 1985.

Dr. Ochwat is a member of several respected medical societies including both the American and Illinois Podiatric Medical Associations. A Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Dr. Ochwat is board certified in both ankle and foot surgery.

J. Allen Chvala, Jr., DPM

Received his Baccalaureate Degree from Loyola University-Chicago with a major in Biology and minors in Philosophy and Theology. He graduated from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine with a degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1972 and began practice shortly thereafter.

Dr. Chvala is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and Board Certified in foot and ankle surgery, and  a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

 

The prevention and treatment of pediatric and adolescent foot disorders is especially interesting to Dr. Chvala. Coming from a medically-orientated family, (his father and grandfather were pharmacists with a family pharmacy in Cicero for 60 years), he feels his interest in children's foot problems was influenced by a podiatrist that had a large podopediatric practice located near his dad's pharmacy. He remembers how that doctor gained a great amount of satisfaction from treating children and how well the majority that had problems responded and were able to walk functionally better and more comfortable after his treatment.

In his free time, Dr. Chvala enjoys fishing, gardening, and photography. He usually supplies the offices with tomatoes, cabbages, squash and pumpkins every year at harvest time. He is one of the founding members of the DuPage County Bassmasters, and tries to fish with his fellow members one weekend a month.

Michael D. Dichoso, DPM, MBA, CWS

Dr. Dichoso studied in the Honors College of the University of Illinois at Chicago receiving his Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Sciences and Minor in Chemistry in 1992. He graduated with Cum Laude honors from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago with a degree in Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1996. He continued his training with a three year residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in the west side of Chicago which involved two years of surgical training in the foot and ankle. Dr. Dichoso received his Masters in Business Administration and Graduate Certificate in Health Services Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management.

Dr. Dichoso is Board Certified in Primary Care in Podiatric Medicine by the American Board in Multiple Specialties in Podiatry, Board Certifed as a Certified Wound Specialist by the American Academy of Wound Management, Board Certified in Podiatric Surgery by the American board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry, Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and ankle Surgeons. He is a member of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association as well as the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Dichoso is an avid promoter of preventative treatment and patient education. This is especially critical in the fields of diabetic management of foot and ankle ailments, sports medicine, child foot deformities, and the geriatric population.

Craig Halihan, D.P.M.

Dr. Halihan completed undergraduate training at the University of Illinois and holds a degree in Psychology and Biology. He graduated from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine / Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 2004. He went on to complete a two year surgical residency at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Halihan has specialized training in wound care, diabetic limb salvage, and trained in trauma and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Halihan is very adamant about continuing medical education, to be able to provide the best and most up to date care for patients with the latest advancement in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle disease. In his free time, he enjoys ice hockey and home improvement projects.
